I have represented students with disabilities and their parents on a wide variety of matters ranging from forcing school districts to comply with the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to the No Child Left Behind Act.

Yes. Absent the most compelling of circumstances, a deaf or blind person should be permitted to participate as a juror with appropriate accommodations.

How will you work within the court structure to assure the accessibility of all facilities of the courts? For example, will you participate in the Committee for People with Disabilities, relevant training opportunities?
I have actively worked to ensure that the rights of persons with disabilities are respected and will continue to do so as a judge.
How would you act when the family of a person with physical or cognitive disabilities attempts to control their assets?
As with any case that I am assigned to handle, I will adjudicate the matter in a manner that assures that the legal rights possessed by a disabled person are protected.
